Text from the Manual

Welcome to the ever-increasing family of Kodak camera owners! Your new camera will bring you years of picture-taking enjoyment. As you know, your camera has many convenient features, such as drop-in loading, a protective sliding lens cover, flash picture-taking with the new 8-bulb flash array called flipflash, and an electronic shutter to time each exposure automatically. Under low-level lighting conditions, a red light will appear in the viewfinder as you press the shutter release.

This indicates that the exposure will be too long for you to hold the camera in your hands and obtain a sharp picture. For this type of exposure, follow the instructions on pages 12 to 15 and you can take existing-light pictures without flash. Chances are you've never used a camera with an electronic shutter before, so be sure to follow the instructions carefully. If you don't, your pictures will be blurred.
